Setting up the Support Ticket System in Discord
- Access the Chat Support Page: Navigate to the 'chat support' page in the console.
- Go to Discord Setup: Find 'discord setup' listed under preferences within chat support.
- Check Prerequisites: Confirm you are an admin or a member of the Discord server you wish to connect with your dApp.
- Integrate with Discord: Click on the 'integrate discord' button to begin the process.
_Server Selection: After clicking 'Integrate Discord', you'll be redirected to choose the server you wish to connect with your dApp. Select the appropriate server to continue the process.
Choose Your Server: From the 'ADD TO SERVER' dropdown menu, you'll see a list of all the servers you're connected with on Discord. Select the server you wish to connect to your dApp.
Grant Permissions: The next phase involves granting the necessary permissions for integrating Discord. It's essential to check all the permissions; failure to do so might result in incorrect configuration of Discord.
Once connected you need to set discord BOT NAME, DESCRIPTION etc.
Channel Name: Choose from a dropdown menu listing all the server's channel names. Pick the channel where all support tickets will be created.
Whitelisted Roles: These are roles granted special privileges or permissions within a server. Only these roles can view all tickets, ensuring confidentiality and privacy. Carefully select the roles that should have this access. This controlled approach helps maintain data security and keeps sensitive information within the ticketing system accessible only to designated roles.
Bot Name: Bots are automated user accounts performing various tasks and interacting with users. Pick a bot name reflecting its purpose and is memorable, aligning with your Discord server's theme. You can preview the bot name on the right-hand side of the screen.
Message Preview: Whenever a new ticket is created, the bot displays this text to provide the user with crucial information and instructions. It acknowledges the ticket creation and reassures the user their issue is being addressed. This can be previewed in real-time on the right-hand side of the discord setup page.
Save and Update: After filling out this form, click on the 'Save' button. All the parameters will be saved, and changes will be reflected on Discord.
Once Discord is successfully integrated into your system, users can conveniently raise tickets directly from your Discord server. This streamlined process enhances user engagement and allows for quick and efficient issue resolution.

To disconnect a server, you can use the "Disconnect" button this will allow you to sever the connection between your dApp and the Discord server, effectively disabling the integration.
When you click on the "Disconnect" button, it will initiate the disconnection process. This will revoke the necessary permissions and privileges granted to your dApp, effectively terminating its access to the Discord server.
After disconnecting from the server, you can integrate with another server by following the same process. Simply select a different server during the connection setup, and you'll be ready to proceed.
With Discord successfully integrated, users will immediately see changes on Discord, including the new bot and its description. This integration streamlines the way you manage and resolve user concerns by enabling them to submit tickets directly through Discord.
Instead of navigating multiple platforms, users can conveniently report issues, ask questions, or seek assistance all in one place. This consolidation of communication channels allows for efficient tracking and resolution of user tickets.
Furthermore, the seamless fusion of Discord in your ticketing system enhances the capabilities of your support team. They can provide timely responses and solutions, which in turn improves the user experience and boosts customer satisfaction.
